Prospective Members must demonstrate that they have passed a USPS or NASBLA approved boating course, or have sufficient boating experience. This certification can be provided in one of the following ways: 1) Certificate of completion from a local USPS Boating Course 2) Certificate of completion from Approved Equivalent Boating Course such as the, ABC, USCG Aux Course, USCG Captain License, etc. 3) Provide a resume of boating experience to the executive committee
Membership Qualifications:
To qualify for active membership in the United States Power Squadrons, you must: Be Accepted By the Squadron Executive Committee Be At Least 18 Years of Age (except Sea Scouts) Have Paid All Applicable Entrance Fees and Dues
Membership Types and Dues:
Single Active Member
A single active member pays annual dues of $57.70 ($37.20 National, $5.00 District, and $15.50 Local for a total of $57.70) There is also an entrance fee of $25.00 bringing the total amount to join $82.70.
Individual Member with Family
A single active member with a family membership pays annual dues of $76.30 ($55.80 National, $5.00 District, and $15.50 Local for a total of $76.30) There is also an entrance fee of $25.00 bringing the total amount to join $101.30.
Sea Scout/Apprentice
A Sea Scout or Apprentice pays a flat $20.00 annually.
